M106 Spiral galaxy in Canes Venatici

The bright (mag. 8.4) spiral galaxy M106 is perhaps about 21 to 25 million light years distant. It is receding at 537 km/sec.

 

 

Image is taken with Celestron Pixcel 237 CCD Camera through a C9,25 at f:3,3. 36x25 second exposure are processed in CCDSoft v5, AIP for Win and Photoshop.
